Share your story, celebrate your impact, and get the recognition you deserve., Being a Social Media Manager is… complicated. When Aiman Tahir from Social Champ, Inc asked me to spotlight the real struggles and voices of social media managers around the world. I couldn't say no... Some days we feel like a creative as anything but others... We feel invisible, like nobody notices the hours I spend making posts look effortless. We balance: ⚖️Content calendars ⚖️Trends ⚖️Analytics ⚖️Community And so much more all at once! Here’s the thing: I love what I do, but it’s not always easy. Behind every like, comment, and share is a lot of hard work, doom scrolling tactically and problem-solving that no one sees. So for all of us: We deserve recognition, respect, and a little love for all that we do! Sharing your story #JusticeForSocialMediaManagers | 21 comments on LinkedIn, I spend hours crafting posts people scroll past in 3 seconds. Most people think social media is easy. They see the post, the likes, maybe a comment... But they don’t see the strategy, the late nights, or the constant juggling between clients, platforms, and deadlines. Here’s the truth: our work is exhausting, underpaid, and mostly invisible. People notice the final post, not the mental load, the analytics, or the tiny decisions that make it work. Real social media growth isn’t about posting perfectly or chasing trends. It’s about creating value, being consistent, and turning engagement into real impact. Every thoughtful reply, every micro-story, every strategic tweak matters more than any flashy metric. SMMs, it’s time to be heard! What’s the one struggle nobody outside our world truly gets? Drop it below. Let’s finally get some #JusticeForSocialMediaManagers Shoutout to Social Champ, Inc for sparking this important convo | 204 comments on LinkedIn, Anyone can post a photo. It takes a social media manager to build a brand. I’m not an SMM by title, but as a content creator and podcast host, I know the hustle is real. So when Aiman Tahir from Social Champ, Inc invited me to be part of #JusticeForSocialMediaManagers, I had to join in. Leave your thoughts in the comments and jump in on the trend!!! If you’re a social media manager and want to highlight your work (or the struggles you face), you can reach out to Aiman Tahir or me and join the campaign using the hashtag #JusticeForSocialMediaManagers. PS. Sameer Ahmed Khan waiting for that handwritten note 😂 | 24 comments on LinkedIn, People think social media is easy. Just write a caption. Get it designed. Post it. Right? Well... tell that to my tired eyes and sore neck!! Behind every “simple post” is: 👉🏼 A strategy deck, 6 approvals, and 12 feedback rounds. 👉🏼 Its crazy market research, copy rewrites, and brand policing 👉🏼 Hours of ideation, design/shoot/editing And yet... 📌 You’re told to do info dump in one visual, then asked why it didn’t convert 📌 Asked to drive engagement, but can’t use memes, trends, or wit 📌 Expected to go viral, every single time Worst part? You’re constantly justifying your work… To people who scroll past it in 3 seconds... To every Social Media Manager out there I see you and Social Champ, Inc too👀 #JusticeForSocialMediaManagers | 49 comments on LinkedIn, You know what really bothers me when it comes to social media? The restrictions. First, the “use automated chat responses” rule. I mean, how can I talk to my audience through a bot? For me, the audience is everything. I love responding to them, knowing their thoughts, their feedback, and having that real conversation. That’s how you actually build a connection. That’s how your audience starts to trust you and your brand. And second, the “don’t experiment, just go with the flow” mindset. If you never experiment, how will you ever know what your audience enjoys? You’ll never figure out whether they prefer memes, carousels, or short videos. Social media isn’t meant to be repetitive. It’s meant to evolve, surprise, and keep people hooked. If you really want your brand to win, then trust your social media manager. Let them do what they do best: create, connect, and experiment instead of restricting them or just chasing the idea of going viral. That’s where the real magic happens. Joined this campaign to get handwritten note from Aiman Tahir and Social Champ, Inc. #JusticeForSocialMediaManagers | 11 comments on LinkedIn, The hardest part of being a Social Media Manager? Pretending I’m not overwhelmed when the entire brand depends on my next move. When Aiman Tahir asked me to participate in the #JusticeForSocialMediaManagers campaign, it made me pause because we rarely speak openly about the emotional and operational weight behind this role. For me, the real struggle is carrying the pressure to be creative, strategic, fast, and emotionally available at all times. Social never slows down. Deadlines don’t shift. Trends don’t wait. And yet you’re expected to show up daily with fresh ideas, clean execution, and a positive tone even on the days when you’re tired, mentally drained, or simply not okay. What people see is the final post. What they don’t see is the internal juggling act: the approvals, the rewrites, the data checks, the comments, the crises, the late-night monitoring, and the invisible emotional labour behind keeping a brand “alive” online. Being invited to share this made me feel seen because so much of our work goes unnoticed until something breaks, and is rarely celebrated when everything runs smoothly. I’m proud of the impact I create. I love the craft. But I’m also learning to acknowledge the human behind the dashboards, the campaigns, and the constant push to stay ahead. Social Champ, Inc, We’re all human. We make mistakes. We mess up, learn, adapt, and still show up the next day. But in corporate, mistakes aren’t lessons. They’re labels. One small miss, and suddenly your skills are questioned. Your ideas get “reviewed.” Your creativity gets managed by people who’ve never opened a social app in their life. You hire an all-rounder and expect him to be flawless at everything. Social media handling. Marketing. Video editing. Production. Post-production. Design. Sales. You want strategy, storytelling, execution, and virality all from one person. But here’s the truth: When you drain creativity with pressure, you end up with performance, not passion. What actually happens: 1. You doubt every new idea before it’s even tested. 2. You demand perfection from chaos. 3. You forget the human behind the dashboard. And when there’s no trust, there’s no creativity. Here’s what actually helps: Let them breathe. Let them be the visionary for once. If it works, great. If it doesn’t, at least you gave space for growth. Because that’s how creativity works. It’s messy, emotional, unpredictable. You can’t measure it in KPIs, you feel it when it connects. So before you threaten another SMM with “Why didn’t this go viral?” Remember, you hired a human, not a hashtag. P.S. Make sure to follow Social Champ, Inc they’re taking the initiative to amplify our voices and shine a light on the real work Social Media Managers do every day. ♻️If you agree ➕Follow Hadi X. #JusticeForSocialMediaManagers | 35 comments on LinkedIn, There was a time when not having a website made you irrelevant. In 2025, not having a strong social presence does the same thing. YET, while some companies realize how valuable social media marketers are... others still hire social media roles just to keep the lights on. And you can see that EVERYWHERE. - How low some salaries are in this field. - Job descriptions with completely unrealistic expectations! - Posted roles listed as: “Social Media Manager,” even though social has grown into 30+ specialized roles in the last 15 years. Social media is SO much more than keeping the lights on. It’s the heartbeat of your brand. Your brands social presence is your new storefront, your new .com, and your new first impression. Before someone even hits your website, they’ve already scrolled your Instagram, watched your TikToks, and maybe have done multiple reddit deep dives. (Me, I am her, I do reddit deep dives on every brand) So today I’m partnering with Social Champ, Inc, because in 2025, everyone’s got a feed... but not everyone values the SMM who knows what they’re doing with it. 🫖 #JusticeForSocialMediaManagers | 14 comments on LinkedIn, The brand is burning. You’re handed a bucket. No context. No warning. Just “make it viral.” You breathe deep. Open Canva and pray. Everyone’s watching. But not helping. The feed must be saved. Again. No cape. Just cold coffee. Ping. A message lands. “Quick post? Real quick.” The algorithm turns on you. No brief. No image. No time. Slack explodes. Metrics drop. You fix the tone. Then the typo. You chase comments and chaos. You publish. Then doubt yourself. One more round of silent pressure. Still, somehow, you are the problem. They want miracles with no support. Praised in meetings. But underpaid. You’ve held it together for months. There’s no backup. Just burnout. Zero thanks. Just expectations. This isn’t scaling. It’s survival. Still told to “just figure it out.” Got no plan. Only pressure. And yet, you post anyway. Still you. Always on time. Still here. Still standing. PS: Stay loud, our hero. PSS: We are not done yet. Finally. let’s fix what is broken. We rise with every single repost. Social Champ, Inc backs up heroes. ♻️ Let them know we’re not sidekicks. Join #JusticeForSocialMediaManagers Ready to join? Knowing you’re doing one of the most underrated and underpaid roles in marketing. We’re expected to be strategists, designers, copywriters, community managers, trend analysts, data experts… and somehow also keep up with algorithms that change every other week. And yet, the role is still seen as “entry-level” or “fun and easy.” Like we just scroll all day and post memes for a living. This job is so easily overlooked compared to other areas of marketing. Somehow, the work that takes the most creativity and consistency is the one that gets questioned the most. And I get it - in paid media, you can see the instant return. You know exactly what your spend brings back. But social media? It’s the long game. It’s storytelling, community-building, and brand trust - the kind of impact you can’t always measure in neat dashboards. And while results take time, the effort behind it never stops. What people don’t see is the constant strategy behind every post, the pressure of always being “on,” and the mental load of juggling multiple brands, deadlines, and creative ideas - all at once. Social media managers deserve more recognition, more trust, and honestly, better pay for what we actually do. Because without us, the internet would be a pretty quiet place 😉 Huge shoutout to Social Champ, Inc for starting the #JusticeForSocialMediaManagers campaign - finally giving SMMs the voice they deserve 🧡 | 12 comments on LinkedIn, this might be controversial… …but if you want to lead on socials, you need to hear it. social isn’t “just marketing” anymore. it’s THE front line. and in a world where AI makes product dev easier than ever, the differentiator = community + the people shaping it every day on social. social media managers aren’t “running the page.” - they’re ears on the ground + mouthpiece between community and brand. - they feel what your audience thinks before your data team ever reports it. - they see what’s trending, what’s dying, what your competitors don’t get yet. - they catch real-time tone shifts, and if they don’t speak up, your brand lags. and still… most aren’t even in the room when strategy gets decided. meanwhile, social managers are doing everything: - creator relations - executive comms - copywriting, editing, crisis management - analytics, design, customer care, trendspotting we don’t just post, we predict what’s next! not trend followers, but the actual trend setters. running ten different jobs behind one post and still being told, “just make it go “viRaL.” so yeah. this week i’m joining #JusticeForSocialMediaManagers with Social Champ, Inc because the people driving brand relevance deserve a seat at the table. p.s. if you’ve ever been told “just post something,” drop a comment. let’s remind everyone: social is THE strategy. p.p.s !! if you want to join this movement, here is the link to the canva template <3 https://lnkd.in/g5dTPq5n? | 131 comments on LinkedIn, 🎤 Justice for Social Media Managers — Because Strategy's Got a Beat They say, "just make it go viral!" I say, "define viral... and hand me a mic" 🎶 As a CMO & founder who's led social teams for global brands, I've seen the late nights, the wild ideas & the digital acrobatics it takes to make brands feel human. We're not just posting content —  we're building culture, trust & community one scroll at a time. We're part strategist, part psychologist, part rock star with a content calendar 🎸 So when Social Champ, Inc dropped #JusticeForSocialMediaManagers & asked me to join, I jumped in with bars, not bullet points. Yup, I turned our reality into a 15-second AI-powered rap! Because strategy can have swagger. Leadership can have soul. And AI + Human powered creativity? That's the new ROI! 👇 Watch the clip —  15 seconds of truth, rhythm and caffeine. 💃 Tag the strategist or social pro who's out there making brands move with heart and hustle! 🧡 #Founder #BrandWithSoul #AIMeetsSoul #SocialMediaCulture #Leadership #DigitalStrategy | 25 comments on LinkedIn, 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿? You'll spend more time justifying your work than actually doing it!! It's not just posting pretty pictures and waiting for the likes to roll in anymore (those days vanished faster than my motivation on a Monday morning 😅) The real challenge? Everyone thinks it's easy. But behind every carousel that slides smoothly across your feed is a battlefield of ideation, design revisions, brand alignment, tonality checks, copywriting, proofreading, client feedback loops, and the occasional existential crisis 🫠 We're juggling customer relations, crisis management, approvals, rejections, and revisions, all whilst our brains refuse to switch off. That brilliant campaign tweak hits you mid-conversation with a mate, and suddenly you're mentally redesigning something that's already live. (Deep breath. Another sip of coffee. Move on.) What bothers me is the invisibility of it all. No one sees the hours multiple team members pour into a single post or reel. Yet we're expected to build genuine audiences, create actual value, and deliver real business results, not just vanity metrics! To the consumers... your one like or share genuinely matters! To the clients... we're holding your digital forts, not performing magic tricks. We're telling your story, building trust, and driving business. We're the arc reactor of your brand's digital presence!⚡ Show your social media managers and their team the same love you give your sales agents hitting targets Shout-out to Social Champ, Inc, Inc for this initiative. To all my fellow social media managers, what's the one thing you wish people understood about what we do? Drop it in the comments! ✍️ Spread the word, and join the movement. Let's bring some #JusticeForSocialMediaManagers | 12 comments on LinkedIn, 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙋𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙖 𝙞𝙨 𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙮...🫠 We’re not just posting but we’re performing open-heart surgery on a brand’s reputation, with nothing but a caption and a creative. One minute we're data scientist, digging through analytics to find the story behind the numbers. The next, we're pulling a scroll-stopping idea out of thin air before a deadline. Then we're therapist to the audience, the client, and honestly… ourselves.😅 We don’t just make reels. We engineer emotion. We turn silence into conversation. We build trust in a digital world full of noise. And when a post flops? We learn. When it trends? We analyze. When the algorithm shifts overnight? We adapt. So NO, social media isn’t easy. But we make it look that way and maybe that’s the problem. Big respect to Social Champ, Inc for seeing beyond and recognizing the minds who keep brands alive, conversations real, and communities connected. Here’s to the thinkers, creators, and silent strategists holding this digital world together one well-crafted post at a time. 🫡 #JusticeForSocialMediaManagers , marketers are SO underrated. whether you’re a social media manager, email marketer (helloo👽), or a brand lead - we juggle a THOUSAND things at once. and yet, we still hear things like: 🍒 “isn’t marketing just posting reels?” 🍒 “just make it go viral tomorrow.” 🍒 “you guys just use canva, right?” um, if it’s THAT easy, why isn’t everyone a good marketer? because behind every campaign you scroll past, there’s: 🥑 strategy calls and creative briefs 🥑 three versions of every draft 🥑 feedback, approvals, and more approvals 🥑 alignment with brand tone 🥑 execution, reporting, and post-campaign analysis and yes, it’s as exhausting as it sounds, but also, we wouldn’t trade it for anything else!!! marketers don’t just “make things look good.” we tell stories, build trust, and shape how people FEEL about a brand. we’re part of the reason you remember that one ad from years ago or felt something from a single email. 💅 so, if you’re a marketer, please give yourself more credit. you make creativity look EFFORTLESS when it’s anything but.
